Job Description

City Retail Store is looking for a friendly and responsible part-time Shop Assistant to support daily retail operations. The selected person will assist customers, arrange products, maintain clean displays and support basic counter duties when required.

This position is suitable for school leavers, students or anyone looking for part-time retail work and practical customer service experience.

Job Information

Requirements

• Basic Sinhala or English communication skills.
• Ability to communicate politely and professionally with customers.
• Friendly and polite customer service skills.
• Applicants should be 18 years or older.
• Ability to arrange products and keep the shop organised.
• Basic communication and simple cash handling skills are an advantage.

Main Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and assist them in finding products.
• Arrange shelves and keep product displays neat and organised.
• Assist with packing purchases and basic counter duties when required.
• Answer basic customer questions politely and professionally.
• Keep the shop floor, shelves and service areas clean.
• Report low stock, damaged items or customer concerns to the supervisor.
